Information about the work:

The mosaic is on the homonymous novel by Andrea Vitali. The sky is getting cloudy, and the weather will shake the quiet of the lake, disrupting it, a bit like what happens in Vitali's novels that begin with relative inactivity, and then something shakes up the calm inspired by the lake landscape.

Technique used:

I imagined the work as a hybridisation of multiple techniques. The wall where the window opens is stucco; the frame and window sashes are natural wood inserts. While the window frames the landscape, the book and coffee cup are in a mosaic of Venetian enamel tiles.
