Information about the work:
The tree was featured in many school activities in the 2016-2017 school year. The children made several sketches of the tree, and the drawing turned into a mosaic, which is the synthesis of it.
Tiziana Tettamanti coordinated the working group with the collaboration of the masters of the school Emanuele D'Anzieri, Bertilla Rusconi and Rita Burlon.
"We and the mosaic...
What is a mosaic?
For the art world, it is a pictorial composition obtained through fragments of materials, tiny tesserae, shells, and ceramics decorated with gold and precious stones. But for us, students of Blevio’s Primary School, mosaic is much more! With the help of Tiziana, Luca and our teachers, we began to understand that each piece is part of a whole and that, in total, in the final work, there is the fundamental importance of every small tile. If we look at the mosaic with the eye life, we understand that in every little piece, there is each of us and that teamwork makes us united, more vital and responsible. So again, this year, we were inspired by the language of art and expressed emotion, a vision of the world with the colours and shapes that enrich our country, community, and heart.
“Today, we give you our small workshop in which we joined and found ourselves on a path of sharing and beauty."
In the photo taken during the inauguration, the children read the text they wrote, reported above.
