The project
Blevio has an exceptional geographical position in the Lake Como basin. It can boast a very beautiful landscape: villas, lake, mountains, which are particularly appreciated when looking at the town from the boat or from the other side of the lake.
When a tourist stops in Blevio he does not find a real "tourist attraction". There is a lack of a square and a public space on the lake capable of attracting interest and the risk is that of not being able to linger on anything in particular. The proposal aims to characterize and promote the use of public parks and pedestrian paths in the town towards the Strada Regia with the creation of an artistic park which is divided into paths (school, contemporary, lake).
The expressive artistic form that is proposed is that of the mosaic, which brings together a set of techniques that have the advantage of being able to guarantee a vast range of solutions capable of resisting in open spaces while offering a visual impact important.
THE TECHNIQUE
The expressive artistic form that is proposed is that of the mosaic, which brings together a set of techniques that have the advantage of being able to guarantee a vast range of solutions capable of resisting in open spaces while offering an important visual impact.
The mosaic allows the artist freedom of expression. It enhances the colour, refraction and reflections of natural light on its surfaces. It adapts to different supports and allows the use of multiple materials. For the realization of the project, it is assumed that the Municipality of Blevio will identify the sites for the location of the works, starting from the park on the lake. The goal in 10 years is to arrive at placing 50 works (5 works each year) in public parks and along the pedestrian paths that rise towards the hamlets. The Municipality organizes the management of the Park and issues the notices and invitations to build up the mosaic heritage of the Park.
