Tesserae after tesserae
The journey continues, and whoever has the patience and vision can see the image of a bigger picture, which goes beyond individual work.
Many tesserae come together: creativity, passion, imagination, patience, ability, and stubbornness.
Being differently abled is an allocution with the meaning that one admires the works which result from these abilities that fit together and grow.
The Centre in Cerbaiola has a close bond with the Mosaic Park in Blevio. From the beginning, their proposals entered the competition every year.
There is always freshness, insight, and beauty in the proposals, and we know that the project is only a foretaste of how the work will amaze us when it is placed along our pedestrian walkways or in our parks.
The exhibition opened in Florence, and its region dedicated it to the experience of the Daycare Centre in Cerbaiola—a fitting tribute to a team that demonstrates that everyone can be part of something bigger. The mosaic metaphor always helps. In this case, the analogy is also a concrete reality.
The exhibition occurs from Tuesday, 18 to Tuesday, 25 February, at Palazzo del Pegaso (Via Cavour 4, Florence). Free entrance, open Monday to Friday, 10 am-12 pm and 3 pm-7 pm, Saturdays 10 am- 12 pm.
There is a unique emotion in us, of the Blevio Mosaic Park, in reading the reference on the header of a hall of the exhibition. There must be a fair pride in this wanted-and-happened meeting, which continues in the wake of the park growing every year. Because, in the pattern of things happening, some can find the perfect fit.
We look forward to a visit to Florence to admire the exhibition, just as we look forward to having you again at the opening in early June and in the coming years.
How many works are exhibited by the young from the Centre in Blevio Park?
Awaiting ‘The Shelley Letter’ for the next opening on 7 June.
