Sunday, 10th June, at 11 a.m. in the Park of Blevio (hamlet of Girola), Blevio’s Municipality will present the new artworks in the Mosaic Park.
A short refreshment at the Momi Restaurant will follow.

To date, 14 works have been presented, some created by schools and others by artists in response to the 2015 and 2016 Calls for Entries.
The new opening will unveil 12 new mosaics selected in response to the 2017 Call for Proposals:

• Artists made four from Como and other Italian provinces.
• two made by the Cerbaiola Day Centre
• six made by the schools of Blevio, Torno and Como Albate

The municipal project aims to connect the lake with the city gardens thanks to paths where mosaics accompany visitors. Over time, thanks to the selected works and those realised in-school workshops, Blevio will be increasingly enriched by these forms of artistic expression that are particularly suited to outdoor spaces and that, thanks to different techniques, allow for multiple expressive solutions for both the images and the materials used.

The park’s patrimony thus rises to 26 works, 22 located close to the boat dock.
